So lets see add the student fee who then just takes out student loans funded by the federal government who is funded by the tax payer who is still us. Except that we are spreading the cost of funding our stadium to the entire country. Genius!

Agreed, we played 5 ranked teams in 2009 and 3 were Big East teams (FSU and Miami the other 2)

New stadium can drum up excitement from the casual fan.  Not necessarily be a long term solution.  It may become more of an event plus the ease of attending drives up student attendance.   This could in turn increase future alumni support.  New stadium on campus + winning will most likely equal continued increase in attendance

Why do we keep doing this?

Reasons to have an OCS:  School pride, increased student attendance

Not reasons to have an OCS (because there is no evidence that this will happen):  Overall increased attendance, increased revenue, increased student attendance

I put student attendance in both because we assume that it will increase, but it's not like they are out in droves to the other on-campus sporting events.

USF could always sit back and just wait for something to happen.

Say anything you want to about UCF, but ANYBODY that's not envious of where they are full of crap. Good, bad, right, or wrong. Football and men's basketball, some amenities, IPF, etc., etc. Please, no BS about how we're going to do it better. So far we've sat on our asses and watched them pass us by while we do another asinine, waste of time, study.

Their IPF is a warehouse with no A/C, and the stadium is a glorified high school field.. Hard pass.

I guess my eyes are bleeding brown then. If I'm going to pick a school to be envious of where they are then I'm sure as **** picking one on a lot higher level than they are .... but if that's how you want to roll, go for it.
