Our "better" hasn't resulted in conference championships and major bowl wins yet.

So yes it is cyclical but their highs have eclipsed ours. At least their 0-12 low hasn't been matched by us yet but we've had some miserably close seasons.

Higher highs at the same level we're currently at doesn't define "passing us by", IMO ... To me, that would be indicated by moving to a higher level of football.

So Oklahoma and Iowa State are equals? Vandy is an equal to UF? We are equal to Tulane?

**** I would say we have a better program than some schools in the P5.

Look at UCF's trophy case and compare it to ours. Than have Championships, we have PapaJohns Bowl Trophys.

They capitalize on opportunities.  We have not yet.

This is 100% correct. We **** the bed in almost all sports when a great opportunity comes up...especially in football. Somehow the culture has to change.

I want like a sad agreement/like option for this.

I still don't think this is a big deal. 2-1, 1-1, who cares? We have three games on the schedule. Winning those games is all that matters.

You are correct, It's not a big deal...I feel like I am taking crazy pills...but that is how I always feel anytime the nut jobs from the East come out from under their rock and kick and scream...

I do agree with this. It just looks bad when ucf got a 1-1. But as someone said earlier to the victors go the spoils. To carry your point even further, I wish we were more road warriors and did one and done games. Let’s go to Mich. Let’s go to Ohio State. Why not anybody anytime?

If we roll with this, we will get the respect we feel we are lacking.

Yep - Sherwin made a good point on Twitter about the 1-1. What's the buyout look like for that return leg at UCF? If it's low, then I would bet that Louisville buys it out and never plays that game in Oviedo and you could then argue that UCF is the one that got played.

With our deal I think the home game is in between two at UL and each game has a $1mm buyout plus UL would forfeit another $200k in pay for actually playing the game in Tampa. The last game at UL probably gets cancelled and we get $1mm for that cancelled game but probably get two games against them anyway.

I think Harlan learned from the MSU and Wisconsin debacles and positioned us well here.
