Personally I will more than likely go to the game if it is on campus. I like my CFB at the campus stadiums...especially against a Big10 team. I can visit Chicago anytime...

Ah, Chicago.  Agreed ... just was there this past weekend (2nd time in 3 months) and had an amazing time as ever.

It’s 10x better when you get to see a Cubs game.

Love the city too just want my CFB on campus...especially against a Big10 school. This game will be played in a giant nfl stadium that will be 1/3 full...yes I see the irony...

MLB total attendance 2017: 72,670,423

NBA total attendance 2017: 21,997,412

NHL total attendance 2017: 21,429,412

NFL total attendance 2017: 17,788,671

I think it's going to survive a few more years.

Of course, since they play 197 games, or some such, and each seat sells for $3.50

A more realistic comparison would be average ticket revenue per team per season.

So you think that will show the MLB is barely surviving? Look it up and post your findings.

I never said that.

I'm just challenging your methodology

I don't know, nor do I have a stake in the out come. I just like to  :stirpot:

NFL: $406.3 million

MLB: $316.7 million

NBA: $196 million

Yep. Baseball is still going to make it through the next few years. Whew.

Yes, if MLB played 16 games, I'd be willing to bet they raise ticket prices. But with 162 games, yeah, I think they can lower them a bit.
