The offense was fine if you have 2014 talent. The defense was gashed because they had been on the field forever

We had the ball for 7 more minutes than Houston and had 460 yards of offense.

People will complain about anything I guess...

TOP and ttal yards don't win games. this guy has had play calling issues in the red zone and his situational play calling has been terrible. if you are setting up for a FG at the end then you need to start to burn clock as soon as you get into FG range. his 4th down calls are so predictable(as are most 1st down calls especially when he tries to go quick)

I was responding to the statement about defense being gassed because offense wasn't on field

Flowers snapped those balls early and our run game was canned. I'm not jumping on the coaches for this. Sorry.

4th and 24

Well apparently we were NOT setting up for the field goal...

2. Though it appeared USF was playing for a field goal on its final scoring drive, Charlie Strong said they were trying to reach the end zone. His explanation was vague: "… The second-down play we got a lot of yards (2 on second and 10 from the 19). So we thought we'd come back with it and (Quinton Flowers) would pull it." Strong then explained the look given by Houston's defensive end prompted Flowers to hand off to D'Ernest Johnson on third down instead of tucking it. Johnson gained 4 yards; the Bulls kicked a field goal.

The first year with Holtz was okay because the Leavitt players were still there and we went 8-5. THe full HOltzing did really begin until year 2. Stay tuned because that could be next year.

if things dint change soon, next year will be like Holtz's 3rd year or Taggart's first year

We are top 30 in the nation for recruits...not like Holtz

4th and 24

so you don't think the coaches have anything to do with when the ball is snapped? have you ever seen the entire offense look to the sidelines to get adjustments? when we rush to the line and run up the middle that is a designed play.

Fluke plays happen. Great coaches don't allow them to determine the outcome of the game. Strong (Gilbert) is conservative. they set up for a FG with too much time on the clock. they get 1 more first down and run clock to near zero and kick for the win. 4th and 24 never happens.

BS. same offense in the red zone as we have run all season. I said after Cincy that settling for FGs will cost us eventually and it did.

2 yard gain is not a lot of yards and it's not a play you run again on 3rd down. 3 straight runs up the middle is not trying to score a TD.

It was never clear...watching on TV I couldn't tell what they were trying to achieve.  There appeared to be confusion and uncertainty at best, that resulted in what appeared to be the mismanagement of the clock.
