That defense would definitely be stingy.  All american pass rush on that side would neutralize Flowers a lot.  Whoever runs the ball and kicks field goals the best wins.   23-17 this year team wins.  Current year rules apply.  Decent Refs.

Agreed. The 2007 team beat Auburn, and a #5 West Virginia team. We haven't beaten anybody yet. The real measuring stick for this year's team will be UCF. That's where we will see what this team is really made of. Houston was just blown out by Tulsa, so not sure they're much of a test.

This year's team hasn't played anyone but 2007 was so inconsistent.  It would depend on which 07 team showed up.  They were giant killers but lost to Rutgers and Uconn etc.

This team and last year's has beaten everyone they were supposed to but we don't know if they are giant killers yet.  They do seem to play more consistently (30+ point wins and the winning streak).

Man it would be a fun game to watch!  I think 17 wins by a field goal.

Well if the question was, "Which team would win by a FG?"

That would be easy to answer.

I was at the Auburn game and was just glad HE made at least the LAST one. LOL

07 has that defense and I don't think our run game could be that defense.

2007 would beat this team. If that team stayed healthy they likely win the Big East that year.

They really only struggled in a few games. That team was better than this one. A lot of NFL talent and grit, they just didn't have depth to get through injuries during the 3 game losing streak.
