In that sense, his butt is on the line starting year one. There is no "empty cupboard" narrative that CWT was able to ride his whole time here. I do not think it is unreasonable to set the successful season bar at winning the conference, regardless of record. Made up ESPN math. It's fun to talk about in the offseason and watch as the season progresses, but all it does is lead to "I told you sos" about who is over or underrated according to the metric.
