I think we need to start with a 40K capacity stadium. It has to have a bowl feel with seating all the way around. I like the feel that if you're on the field you are surrounded by the crowd. I would rather have seats but I understand that for the price it would have to have number spots on bench seating.

Tulane has a OCS that cost $75M but only seats 30K. Trim a little of the luxury stuff they have and add 10K seats and we have a good start.

Would be very happy!

Based on what facts?

My snarks do no require facts.  I actually want a stadium.

I went to the Notre Dame game and what impressed me most about their stadium is it made you feel almost claustrophobic.  Obviously I am not suggesting we build an 80,000 seat stadium but I like the effect the fans seem to have on the game due to proximity

The Georgia Southern stadium was pretty but I would prefer intimidating.

At least 40k.  And a grass student only end zone section would be really cool where raucous students can be right in the action on that end.

It's unlikely that USF would obtain the MOSI property.

Why not? Doesnt the city of Tampa own it?

Actually the county does, but they want to use it for an, "innovation district"

No, it's Hillsborough County's land, as I understand it. It'll be interesting seeing the composition of their commission when the time comes to approve any sale of this land to anyone other than the county.

Edit: Thanks, Apis. I hadn't seen you'd already addressed this. There's already an innovation district on USF's campus on the corner of Bruce B. Downs and Fowler, and it's not even close to full. It'll come down to lobbying the county for that land, if USF is going to purchase.

Another dude that gets it. If our fanbase earns an expansion, then there won't be a need to play those games at Ray Jay. A well constructed, 40K seat stadium on campus will help foster a demand for season tickets.
