How far we've come in a year.  Trying to get rid of him, then worrying about keeping him...

You are not wrong

But that's a good thing

Taggart still needs to at least win the division this year.

If he does leave, though I feel he doesn't have the resume to make a big leap quite yet, the coach at LA Tech is tearing up CUSA for the last few seasons. He might be ready to make the jump to a stronger conference.

I know that Taggart is a great coach, but if  my team was a p5 school it would be hard for me to justify having a coach that has an overall losing record.

I don't disagree, but I don't think our schedule will be nearly strong enough to get much national attention next year, other than simply padding his record.

Wow our schedule is bad next year....

Not sure how Illinois will be next year....I don't follow them but maybe they'll be better? I don't know...but that game could be tough if they have a young team learning this season and they are more experienced next year.

Also have to see when we are playing Uconn. If it's a late season cold-weather game then it could be tougher. But IMO 10 wins MINIMUM with what we have returning should next be the expectation, barring injuries.

He needs to win a bowl game first. The talk is silly otherwise.

I agree with those that say his resume doesn't warrant serious top-tier consideration. However, anyone that thinks he is here for the rest of his career is crazy. He's gone first good offer he gets, no question.
