Joey Knight isn't all bad

Both he and Odom only mentioned announced attendance.  

Someone was asking if they might change their tone about the program now that we are in contention to get into the B12, especially since Vinik is clearly our benefactor.

This morning we see a positive story from Fennelly where he encouraged people to come to the games, a positive story from Knight and a tweet from Odom.  No cheap shots about actual vs announced attendance.

For those of you who did not follow the team from the beginning I will share my perspective.  We we a charmed program.  We were lucky to have CJL who turned down Alabama to stay, we seemed to get better every year and we got invited to the Big East.  You all know we made it to #2, Ray Jay was packed every week and it seemed like the sky was the limit.

Then something happened and we lost our mojo.  CJL was let go under ugly circumstances, the Big East disintegrated and we had to live through the Holtz error.  

We hit rock bottom

The winds are changing.

People have so many media choices these days they only read the ones they like.  So we've gotten used to reading only articles that reinforce our own viewpoint.  So when Joey says something that isn't pie in the sky in favor of USF, the board melts down.

Ridiculous.  He's a writer, it is his job to be unbaised.  We used to praise writers for that.   

This is different from McMurphy who clearly had a beef against USF once he was banned from practice for a while.  JK is just doing his job, people need to stop whining.

Regarding the Gators on the front page of the sports section and Fennely's daily hit-piece commentary (which aren't well written, by the way) on the lack of game attendance, we'll never get to the B12.

Oddly enough, last night's game was presented by the Tampa Bay Times. Are they onboard or not? Nothing makes sense.
