He gets in trouble passing when he stops setting his feet and his mechanics get messed up. He was a lot better this year, even yesterday, than he was last year. There's still room for improvement.  However for every pass he missed his receivers then dropped one that hit them in the hands. Several drives early killed on dropped passes.  Let's hope everybody improves next year.

I think he was a bit nervous yesterday, as it was his hometown and so many of his people were watching him. Some of the bad throws did not look like Flowers' throws from the victories this year.

Still, the man was a big part of the revival of our football program this year.

QF was one of the main reasons we won this year.....GREAT year for him as he proved me wrong and showed nice improvement all year long.  Mainly trying to say it would be interesting to see this team with a pure passer back there.  QF will always have a place on the field regardless of position and in the long run he might be better utilized elsewhere.  The team really came together and looking forward to next year and hope we come out real hungry !

I love how many people just don't get that our receivers aren't up to par yet. White's failure was because we had a bunch of Welch stonehands receivers. Even the great Adams drops balls. Without the ability to run we will not win games. We don't have a corn feed line like the teams of the mid-west. Please embrace the fact that we need a mobile qb.

yeah let's get White back. He was a pure passer.

 

This team has turned things around because Flowers is a play maker. When a play breaks down he has the ability to not only extend it(how many times did we see him scramble and find a receiver running open downfield) but he also is a threat to run so they have to use a spy. It also opens up the run when he runs read option.

 

His passer rating this year was higher than Grothe, Daniels or Blackwell ever had here in a single year. He had a better TD to INT ratio (wasn't even close) and had more passing TDs this year than any other USF QB since we started.

 

This offense would be garbage with a pure passer. we don't have a dominant oline or 5 star receivers

Never stated we didn't need a mobile QB, Let's change my wording from "pure passer" to "better passer".

yes I did. he was a 6th year senior who missed wide open receivers in the first half. their line dominated our defensive line in the second half and his receivers were wide open. Hell he made one throw that he missed by 5 yards where their receiver didn't have anyone within 20 yards of him.

 

oh and their QB didn't beat us. Last I checked football is a team sport
