AW has been in college 3 years now and has yet to play one down of college football. What solid proof do you have that he will be better than QF? I'm not saying that QF is The Man, because he needs to improve his game, especially passing, greatly. And I'd love to see some REAL competition for the QB spot next year. But AW has proved nothing on the field, and QF is CWT's Golden Boy. And IMO CWT will stay with QF no matter what. Just hope CWT gets QF a lot of help to help him improve his game. He's a great athlete, but regardless of stats, he's an average QB. A better O-line to give him better protection would help a lot also. Dead on ZBull. Here's the bottom line, CWT should treat every position like it's tryouts. You have to prove it to win it. If AW is a better QB then he should start. They gave Flowers almost no time to throw every time he dropped back. When he did have time no one got open. QF had some really bad throws. No doubt about it. He did in a lot of games. He also made some good throws. Keep in mind he is still young and he showed great improvement this year. More than anything he needs WR help. Our WR's are non existent past Adams. If AW beats him out and he's a great QB awesome. But the fact remains that AW hasn't done a **** thing in college and he wasn't even good in high school. In fact, he was really bad in high school. You can blame his school and talent all you want, but his stats were bad. The only thing AW has accomplished was his Elite 11 win. QF on the other hand produced 34 TD's this year. 22 passing and 12 on the ground. He only had 8 INT's. I can't find his fumble stats, but if he had any it was a very small number. He did this as a Sophomore. He essentially did that with one useful receiver. I some of you need some perspective when it comes to QF.

Our offense is better with a lousy passer than with a pure passer! ROFLMAO again he is not a lousy passer. his strength isn't passing but to call a QB that has had more PASSING TDs this year than anyone in the history of our program has in any given year a lousy passer is dumb. his completion percentage is right there with another QB that played here who is currently in the NFL He had the HIGHEST passer rating of any USF QB in any year of our history. His TD to INT ratio was better this year than any of the big 3 (Grothe, Daniels, Blackwell) has ever had in any given year.

I guess your argument can't be backed with actual stats Flowers had 7 games with a QB PASSER rating over 150. just 1 less than the QB from Clemson who was a Heisman finalists. He had the highest QB rating in our programs history. Best TD to INT ratio. Sorry but that doesn't "scream" bad passer to me.
