Taggart isn't going to Mizzou and I doubt he leaves this year. He's smart enough to look at our schedule, see the roster he has, and know that if he can knock it out of the park next year, there'll be much better offers than Mizzou available for him to consider.

This isn't the year to be concerned about CWT. Hope or Allen, though... maybe.

Missouri is a mess right now, on and off the field. He'd be dumb to go, unless it's big money. I doubt he's a serious candidate anyways. If he leaves, it's next year or the following.

throw so much fan love on him that he would be ashamed to leave.

50-100% salary increase from USF will also help ;)

Odom is also in play for the head coaching job at Missouri, but Missouri officials have already held some interviews already this week and are scheduled to talk to more candidates. Among the coaches Missouri may have interest in speaking with are Temple's Matt Rhule, Bowling Green's Dino Babers, South Florida's Willie Taggart, Utah State's Matt Wells and California's Sonny Dykes.

All it says is among the coaches they MAY have interest in. The author is just speculating. That shows no link to Taggs and Missouri. All he did was list some coaches with hot teams that people are speculating for a lot of jobs

Just don't see a guy who has a lifetime sub .500 record in non P5 going to an SEC school.  Not gonna happen - not this and prolly not next unless we go 12 - 0.

Auburn Hired gene Chizk after he went 5-19 at Iowa State as his only head coaching experience.

supposedly Missouri interviewed Bobo who went 7-5 in his only head coaching year at colorado state.

I don't see it happening but I don't see it as being impossible either. Taggart didn't walk into good situations at either place so his record really doesn't matter.

Maybe it has something to do with UCFs coach getting almost 2 mil a year without ever being a head coach before.  We got CWT on the cheap.

That's the same institution that made George O'liar coach and AD. Good for them for sticking to their guns and continuing their tradition!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
