You guys are too serious about this ocs stuff. This board just turned into the real Civil Conflict... ****. Just chill out. Harlan will put together a process, hopefully it's not done in a vacuum and **** will get done. The will maybe announce a projected spot, give a target date, then announce a funding campaign. This is going to be a multi-year project. We don't announce today and open next week. This is one of those 5 year goal type events. 2-3 years of fundraising, and couple more to build, while still raising funds. This is a great time to begin the fundraising part of the project, but that's it.

As they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day."

I just don't get why at the mention of an ocs some people on the board complete lose their ****. If we don't have an adult conversation about this it will be done wrong. I think it's better to have the conversation even if the thing never gets built.

Are you sure we cant "announce today and open next week"?  That ruins everything.  Oh well, I guess we should just go back to talking about our P5 invite that is still in the mail.

At that instant they have to start paying, even if they wait 10 years to announce that they're actually going to build one. So that will be one of the last announcements. Just a bunch of legal stuff that I cannot get into. I'm sure that if somebody wants to research that side of it they can find the general information.

you didn't hear? FAU will replace the U in the Acc and UCLA is getting demoted too. I guess the P-5 forgot to grandfather in existing institutions.
