Maybe the players were meeting to discuss taking over the play calling duties from Taggart

I'd be mad about the HC putting it on them all the time. And tired of his saying they don't know how to win. Of course when player criticism is made public, it usually results in the player being punished like Kelly just did to one of his DTs at Notre Dame.
