With these last 2 commits really seems like Taggart and Co. are grasping at straws til fill this class. I don't think they're very confident going into the last day if they're going after a Stetson commit to flip...

If by flipping you mean bringing the kid on as a preferred walk on.....  You don't burn the midnight oil to get those kind of kids you just put the offer out there.  As for the other kid he was committed to a conference rival and was just brought up to Cinci  (who has owned us) for an official visit and had an offer from them.  He's not Ray Ray but to pretend that he's awful is just nonsense.  Maybe it's not Taggart that's grasping at straws......

As I just said above I saw on rivals the kid "flipped" to us from Stetson. I assumed it was as a scholarship if they were reporting on it. So sorry.

Either way, last year we were getting late commits from kids like Josh Black, Legrande Harley, Marlon Mack, D'Ernest Johnson etc. I've just been extremely underwhelmed by this year's late additions. I think that's fair to say in comparison to last year.. Or is that grasping at straws ??? LOL

This is a solid class that is currently #1 in our conference coming off 2 losing seasons.  If you want to look down on it that's your choice.

So by me saying I'm underwhelmed by this year's late additions compared to last years and that I think Taggart is scrambling to just simply fill the class at this point means I look down upon the class in general? K dude...

Actually yes, considering scrambling to fill the class isn't what is happening....This class is pretty much full and the difference is we locked up our better recruits earlier this season. How that makes things oh so much worse than last years is lost on me.  I would actually be surprised if we add anyone else to this class that isn't Griffin or Ray Ray.  Also, the DE that we got today came in for a visit two weeks ago and was a kid we've been on for a bit.  I wouldn't define that as scrambling.  Your searching for a way to negatively spin a solid class that is the best in the conference.  I'll never understand some people....

I think UCF's class is a little better so far, but otherwise, I agree with you.

To be technical, we have actually over-filled this class to account to attrition, so the idea that they are grasping at straws to "fill" the class has no merit.

Haha, K big dawg. You take what I said however you want. How Taggart has the #1 recruiting class in this conference again after what this program has been through in the last 5 years is nothing short of miraculous. He's one hell of a recruiter. This is a VERY SOLID class. For whatever reason you're having a very hard time understanding what I am saying.

Nowhere did I say this class is so much worse than last years. What I said was last year our late additions were highly touted players. Marlon Mack, Johnson, Vincent Jackson etc. This year our late additions are far from that. THAT IS ALL I'M SAYING. I don't see how you could possibly disagree. I am not looking for a way to negatively spin this class as a whole. I'll never understand why some read what they want instead of what's written....

I don't see it as scrambling. Bad choice of words.
