Any potential flips still left out there? Impressive class considering our recent records!

Anything that would happen would be from way out in left field.

Thought I'd have a little fun and create an "enthusiasm index" to gauge the depth of their desire to be a Bull by comparing the order the committed to the order they faxed. All in fun, but those near the top are potentially more likely to work their asses off and become starters by sheer willpower, and those nearer the bottom are more likely to be lackadaisical and have to be coerced to practice and perform (Allen Iverson, anyone?)

Enthusiasm Index    Committed Order    Signed Order    Name

9      7     2     Danny Thomas

Glad Taggart kept the class intact, especially after watching Miami get some top players players poached.

Class is a Top 60, maybe.  Far cry from out Top 40 days (few as there were), but not bad considering the P5 v G5 gap is becoming to obvious to ignore, sadly.

Unlikely that we'll add to the 21 (incl. Reilly), based on Taggart Tweet hours ago, which sounded like he was closing shop.  Wasn't really expecting McCloud or Dawson, but was hoping to get 2-3 decent grabs, in areas of need.

Now, we wait to see how we actually utilize the talent.  The last 2 classes were good, and I think we'll see some young talent emerge soon, if we can put schemes in place to succeed.

I believe we are done.....the next drama is the possible Josh Grady QB transfer.

We've known about Kean for a long time, so the flashiest position, QB, was already in place.  We didn't need any RBs, so our recruiting was to fill a lot of needed positions that aren't very glamorous, such at O-Line, WR, DBs, etc..

I'm happy with this.  Hopefully Kean comes in and can be a really nice QB, or they can put an offense in place where our current QBs can succeed.

I'm hoping for a QB transfer with a "hardship" waiver, at this point.

I think based on our on field results the past few +years and with CWT being
on the hotseat that CWT did really well with this years class.  If he could
have corralled Griffin and Ray Ray that would have been the coup.

So.....

We got the forgotten surprise transfer awhile back, Reilly Gibbons
and Auburn safetly Mackenro Alexander is enroute. ++

Got Sands, secured khalid-mcgee and locked in Danny Thomas +++

Although injured Marlon Gonzalez was very heavily recruited by the big boys and
should be a real good one when healed...much need run stopper, pretty mobile with a little attitude. +

And got some nice late suprises in Chris Barr, Ferguson and Belloise  +++

Flipped Malik Vaccaro-Dixon from UCF and Kirk Livingstone from Uconn   ++ :)

Secured the #11 punter as a preferred walk on   +bonus

Missed on Ray Ray (small chance), Baity (no chance) and the one I wanted more...Griffin.

Now the ball is in CWT's court to win some games.  Hope he spends as much time thinking
of schemes, plays as he does with his quotes:   https://twitter.com/coachtaggart

Rankings are more meaningful based on averages than on total points.

UCF is #50 and we are #63, Cincy is #67 per http://sports.yahoo.com/latech/football/recruiting/teamrank/2015/all/all

Still very unscientific, especially at this stage, and this deep in the rankings (i.e. what's a 5.4 v 5.5?).

Doesn't matter where we stack up v UCF. It's about S&C, coaching, execution...and sadly, they have the Luck of the Irish on their side, clearly.

If UCF keeps doing it over and over then it's no longer luck.....likewise if we keep doing it (losing) over and over then it's clearly more than just being unlucky

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
