IF, true, then Harlan is managing CWT out. Cheaper if he leaves that way

I honestly think this is what's really happening.

 

As stubborn as everyone says he is do you really think he will quit?

Everybody has a breaking point and if Harlan is making these hires and it's true that the next OC or Dc could be a coach in waiting it's possible he pulls the rip cord and follows Harbaugh to his next gig.

After typing that, I agree he's too stubborn to leave on his own....

 

 

The Head coach controls hiring and firing of his staff its in his contract.

 

 

That is usually the case, have you actually read this particular contract to be able to back up such a categorical statement?

Its in every head coaches contract, he was allocated a sum of money to hire his assistants.

wish we had more people who cared about the program. we could use the donations to hire quality assistants.

 

doesn't help us much when we have to hire retreads on the cheap that are working in the UFL or guys that are special assistants on a staff because they aren't worthy of a real job.

 

oh well. such is USF. We will never be able to hang with the big boys without a donor base. Even UCF trumps us bigtime. we have no one to blame but ourselves.

 

of course there are those that don't contribute at all that will complain about the results. like some people in society who just take and never give. I like to call them leaches just like "fans" that don't give a nickel to improving our position.

I still like Bill Clark, the UAB coach. That guy seems to know how to win. Somebody is going to get a great hire when they pick him up.

From what I've gathered from other sites and that read that he's in line to become the OC advisor/specialist but not the OC.

Rumor is that Willie's dad John will be coming in as DC. Apparently he coached Willie to back to back Pee-Wee championships.
