The opposing D wouldn't stack the box. The plays were there, we just didn't hit them. Also, our D, while it didn't lose the game, is still a concern. Somehow, we make most opposing QBs look like Tom Brady. The guys on the radio harped on that soft zone we played yesterday. Even they're frustrated. Bringing in someone new will help. I can't see a new contract coming for Bresnahan.

That's the way this stupid offense is designed Joe. It doesn't matter if it is predictable. The offense is designed that the defense will know what is coming and still can't stop it. Problem is the offensive design not just execution. Taggart thinks he is going to overpower ever defense for 3 and 4 yards a clip.

When a backup wideout switches to corner his senior year and is ur number one from the get-go, then the writing is on the wall. There were points in the season where our entire secondary was true or rs freshmen. Devin abraham, deatrick nichols, tajee fullwood, kendall sawyer. Plus johnny ward and lamar robbins are true sophomores. I think this is why we saw such a conservative coverage scheme. Maybe im wrong.

No margin for error, and with a young team like this, there will be errors. Taggart is going to have to pray that it clicks and then he can show these kids that it does work. Make them believe in it. Once they believe, then confidence will grow.

Defense was se of the problem but shut out at home, 14 against winless SMU, win by 3 against UConn-- this is offense and on taggart

This, and the NUMBER ONE tackler on defense is THE SAFETY? and you continue to run the same defense every week? The problem is that CWT doesn't know his arse from a hole in the ground. Taggarts situational play calling isn't putting his players in the best possible position to execute successfully ... He predictably calls these up the middle runs when the defense is sold out for the run, how much better can the guys execute when the opposing team has 9 players jamming the lane and two blitzing from the sides? And yes there are execution issues, but execution is a result of how players are taught and how they practice. One reason Nick Saban is such a good coach is that he is anal about execution in practice and in games. He makes sure his guys get it exactly right.
