My take away from this is that Taggart will need to be caught in bed with a dead girl or live boy in order to get fired.

Harlan "I like our recruiting. I like what we are doing off the field, I like what we are doing in the classroom." "I think Coach Taggart is a good young football coach who knows how to recruit to this program"

I guess this is why CWT stays this year

Yup, agree. For us die hards, we were here before CWT and we will be here after. He needs to recruit is butt off and at least the cupboard will not be bare for the next coach

I agree with this. But taggart needs to change things on the field

I understand that he is now selling and defending the decision to keep Taggart. Taggart has now become Harlan's "guy".

One of the off the field things that needs to be considered is attendance.

My take away is that Harlan knows what needs to be done and doesn't rely on message boards and instant satisfaction.

If it's better for the program, Taggart's gone... if not, Taggart gets another year

I don't see how keeping him is better for the program. His philosophy is boring, doesn't work here and is driving fans away. Are they looking to see how few season tickets they can get next year?

I have been a die hard. Since day one. Gone to many away ges as far back as Georgia Southern and Troy. But I have had enough. I work too hard to wasted money on this product. Taggart here=us gone

My understanding is that recruiting isn't so strong this year. Last year, we had hope to sell. Less of that going around after our 2014 campaign.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
