I have a weird theory that Harlan wouldn't have minded an SMU loss as an excuse to fire the guy. Taggart actually has a case on paper to stay, but his coaching gets a very low grade so far.

I was looking back at my pre-season w/l guesstimations, and I have five...with one more win over UCF. But, that ain't gonna happen. I don't see it. 

Are we pretty much done with the Great Fowler Avenue Quarterback Experiment? I'm not sure Taggart was firable - even with a loss to SMU - and I don't know what his & Harlan's relationship is (given he was not a Harlan hire....is there a name in the Harlan address book that could be tapped should a vacancy appear in Tampa?). 

 

And the question becomes....does a five-win season in 2015 get a check mark for 'shows improvement'?

If White started this game would have been a blowout. Memphis is a solid team going to be a very tough game.
