Sad part is we should be 6-4 right now with wins over Maryland and ECU.  A halfway decent team would have held on to those leads in the 4th quarter.  Looking back now, it's unbelievable we were actually in those games for 3 quarters.

Record is better,I guess that is improvement.

On field play, as a team, is not better. Attendance and fan interest is rapidly declining.

I would say program is in worse shape than at the beginning of the year.

The 2014 USF team would BEAT the 2013 USF team... Especially across most stats.

Never will 4-8 feel like 1-11, until this year.

Ain't that the truth. That game yesterday was utterly deflating, and it was a victory. I'm just not seeing what the direction is for CWT's vision of this program. It seems like things are just being done on the fly.

I have a weird theory that Harlan wouldn't have minded an SMU loss as an excuse to fire the guy. Taggart actually has a case on paper to stay, but his coaching gets a very low grade so far.

 

I agree with this theory. In any event I don't see us getting more than 4 wins. The talent is there, but the coaching is not. Nearly getting beat by the worst team in modern college football history is not a victory, its a win.

 

Hopefully our next coach will have some SEC experience.
