Next year is a rebuilding year just like this year. And last year. And the two years before that.

The way I would judge Tagart is by fan attendance - that ensures the team is competitive and entertaining.

2011 and 2012 weren't rebuilding years. If they were, what were we rebuilding from? 8-5?

Get to a bowl game and nothing less.  This team should start to come into it's own next season if Taggart's building something here.  This will be a tough task though if we can't fine someone, anyone, to give us at least average QB play.   We also need to be competitive in all of our games and play complete games in the majority of them.....

If someone could complete 55% of their passes then we would be watchable on offense. Of course to account for drops the QB hs to hit the receiver in the hands at least 70% of the time... so we're screwed.

Bowl game is min or he needs to be fired.

I doubt we go bowling and he is fired.

I expect 7 wins next year.

New coach - new scheme - new players. We have used the "rebuilding" excuse since Leavitt left. It is kind of our thing.

Oh. Maybe I'm in the minority then, I never considered 2011 and 2012 as rebuilding, just losing. I believe we are now in rebuilding.

Rebuilding implies a lack of something, those 2011-12 teams lacked one thing. Coaching. Those weren't "rebuilding" years. They should've been "new coach" years with hindsight giving us that benefit.

2011 and 2012 were destructive years not rebuilding. 2013 should have been the rebuilding year and this year a growth year.

The way I see it, the rebuilding, at least on offense, only begins next year. Not enough of the talented (in high school anyway) young guys expected to be contributors next year will have much experience.

Taggart better find a way to have massive improvement next year. Improvement in the W/L column, at least 6-6 with a bowl game, MAJOR improvement from the offense. No more not scoring TDs, no longer being ranked in the triple digits in offense (would be a 3rd consecutive year of that if he manages to make that happen again next year).

The AAC was a trainwreck this year.  John O Korn turned out to be a turnover machine, Lyle McCombs got kicked off his team, Gunner Kiel got banged up, UCF lost Bortles to the draft, SMU coach split, Tulane and Tulsa (not on anybody's radar), ECU is not that great as it turns out, Memphis may be the best overall team.  I'm really down on Taggart this year for not exploiting these teams weaknesses with our atheletes, if Leavitt were here we'd be p#ssing on everyone and they'd be taking it happily.

Has to get to a bowl game or he's gone.  If he ends the season on a losing streak next year and still makes it to a bowl game he should still be shown the door.  Losing can't be accepted, not in this conference.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
