Funny, when it isn't raining Mike White throws the ball like its wet and slipping out of his hand but does the opposite when its raining, lol.

He played well?    Mostly hand offs, and a few completions ....     The weather was rough on the receivers, but -- the offense really did not do much; except fight for field position.     Best

Name me one QB that can win without OL blocking.  There are not many Brett Favre's out there. 

 

 

I thought we already established that that is what Grothe and Daniels did - maybe in a different thread.  Obviously any QB will play better with good blocking.  White had a good game, no argument from me.

White definitely played better and showed more poise than in the past.  The OL game him more time which was a big help.    This was not a game that depended on White playing great game.   This was also his first win against an FBS team.

The score does not reflect the game.  We had drives that stalled out or we took 3 points because of poor play calling.   3rd and goal from the 1 and you try the same run over again and UConn was ready their LB's were up and punched right through to make it a tackle for a loss.

 

A score of 7 points and you now have a 21 to 7 lead.

That INT was one the biggest fluke plays I have seen.

 

I have been hard on White but he looked decent tonight and hopefully he can build on this game.

I will say that one play was a head-scratcher, and all the more so because they didn't have Mack in there to do it. That was the exception on the night rather than the rule, though...IMO
