You know how many kids would pop hot? Probably close to half the team. And the same goes for any other schools football program.

 

Smoking a little pot is one thing, but you don't get a felony charge for just a little.

Get a clue. More than 50% of USF athletes smoke. I would guess that at least 50% smoke throughout D1.

I'd rather USF athletes smoke than drink, better for their bodies as well.

I could care less how many do it. It's illegal in FL, illegal under federal law, and a banned substance under the NCAA (for those states that allow it).

I have a clue champ, I played D1 sports. Did you? Probably not. I wasn't stupid enough to lose my scholly over some weed. Athletes should be held to a higher standard.

How hard is it to follow the law while getting a free education and an opportunity to make millions in the NFL?  Drink alcohol and don't drive if you can't have fun without the aid of some substance.

I certainly appreciate the notion that he should have just followed the law but pot and alcohol intoxication do not have the same effects.

Nearly an ounce is the minimum for a felony, could be much more.

again read my statement" NOT DEFENDING HIM" which means don't agree with what he did.  But lets not pass judgment on this young man, Let the court system handle it and USF. 

Not making excuse's for him but :

He is only 18-23 years old,  got caught with Weed( something the government has declared "War on" but people with sense is changing that logic ( see states changing laws like Colorado, and others who allow it for medical purposes). 

Everyone one of us has broke the law at some point and some do so more frequently than others ( we just don't get caught or are not being judged as hard based on the offense).

 

Again he broke the law( which sucks) so unfort needs to pay for that, He broke the schools rules and will be handled appropriately as well.  But lets not crucify him for making a mistake.
