I have 2 children that play sports as well. I cannot even begin to imagine how devastating this must be emotionally and physically for your family and your son. Thank you for posting such a personal matter and putting some things in perspective. I hope your son makes a full and speedy recovery. Much love.

Brad, glad to hear he is doing better. Thoughts and prayers to you.

Having kids of my own, I have spent many a night in an ER due to sports related injuries. ACL's, MCL's, bone breaks, etc.. Too many to count, and have an Ortho on speed dial. Even had one concussion (kid took a hard hit head to the ground, sat out second half, and complained as they wanted to go back in and help their team). Two days later still headaches and nausea.

We forget that they are not the Pro's and are getting little in return for their sacrifices, whether in HS or College level.
