BJ Cunningham better get his stuff together if he expects to make the team.

From Rotoworld;

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the 49ers are trying to trade QB Colt McCoy.

The 49ers acquired McCoy and a sixth-round pick for fifth- and seventh-round picks ahead of April's draft. He's been nothing short of dismal throughout the preseason, completing 46.2 percent of his passes with two interceptions. If San Francisco can't find a trade partner, they're expected to release McCoy. The Bills and Jets could possibly have some interest. The Niners appear content with Seneca Wallace as Colin Kaepernick's backup.

:sigh

uh oh...

The 49ers have restructured Colt McCoy's contract, dropping his base salary to the NFL minimum of $630,000.

He was previously owed $1.5 million. The 49ers ostensibly gave McCoy an ultimatum amid trade rumors, threatening to cut him if he didn't slash his salary. With no guaranteed money, McCoy still isn't assured a spot on the final 53.

that makes McCoy easier to trade now if they decide to keep BJ.

Yeah I thought that a first too...then this part bugged me "threatening to cut him if he didn't slash his salary".

Maybe he agreed to slash his salary so he could be traded as opposed to cut.  Let's hope so.

Need as many quick 3 and outs every possession BJ isn't in. Gotta split the second half among 4 guys. He might get one drive.
