We need to GTFO of this dead conference ASAP...it is dying a slow death...I believe something is happening behind the scenes at USF to do this

Nothing we can do about it, but piss and moan. Luckily, that is what we do best.

From USF's standpoint, conference realignment is like death by a thousand cuts. I wish the university presidents from the SEC, BIG, PAC 12, Big 12 and ACC would get together divide up the world of college football and be done with it. Whatever our fate is I can deal with it.

This could gone on for another 2-3 years before everything falls in to place. What a horrible cloud to be hanging over the program.

I keep telling you all.. we gotta get strength in numbers.. 20-team league, coast-to-coast.. 4 divisions of 5 teams, with a 4-team playoff at the end.

...

I really like this idea.

I read it a bit more optimistically. If SDSU/Hou/SMU/Navy are out as well, that leaves fewer schools who will have to find new homes when UConn/UC/USF get absorbed into the BE/ACC merger (when it happens). Depending on how many leave the ACC, there will be room for Temple, and maybe Memphis/UCF as well. There is more to college athletics than pinning all our hopes and dreams on some theoretical "Access Bowl" football crumbs. Trying to find an arrangement that facilitates that to the detriment of everything else (geography, non-FBall sports) is a bad long-term fix. I suspect the TV wouldn't much different with or without Boise St.

What kind of schedule would we end up with?
