Butch Davis: 'I'd certainly be interested' in USF job | University of South Florida Bulls blog: USF Sports Bulletin | Tampa Bay Times

Looks like he is very interested in job and I am interested in him. Resume holds strong. I think he has what it takes to get us hard nosed recruites and turn this program around back to where it was before the Holtz error.

Butch Davis should be the guy.

With the Univeristy of Miami soon to go on probation a hire like Butch Davis can do wonders for recruiting top athlethes to play for USF.

USF should hire him with the goal within three years USF will get out of the Big East and move into either the ACC or Big 12.

Agreed. Now is not the time for taking chances. Get a proven guy.

Davis or Taggart, I'll be happy.

I think it's definitely one of those guys. I'll be quite pleased with either hire.

If taggert gets it... I have great concerns about our D.... I hope he does not bring in Lance Guidry.... Not the right experience in my opinion... Too much mid-major on his résumé

He'll have his work cut out for him. If I was Doug I would hire Davis if possible, he has too much riding on this to give Taggart the reigns of a university this size.

I'll want to see a highly rated rb and qb signed or I will start having doubts. Should be easy for Taggart too.

This is a bummer. I really thought Davis would be THE choice and him coming out and saying he wanted the job kind of confirmed that. Well, time to get behind the new guy...
