Probably threw something together quickly to get an image out for the BOT meeting. Especially if the donation from USF FCU came recently.

Like one of the old school cookie cutter stadiums. No thanks lol We would absolutely salivate to have that stadium coupled with the shade. However I am ok with what they put out, it is not the Taj Mahal however we are not exactly royalty either. The stadium looks good, the location is great, the athletic complex will be impressive IMHO. There are some picky SOB’s on this board, jeez.

I actually did the math. Their stadium cost $244M 9 years ago. Roughly how much we are spending. EDIT: adjusted for inflation at 3% each year and then 7% the last year. Comes out almost exact to what we are spending. Could have done something like this with 10k less seats. It even kinda looks like a bull ring. The design we got... idk cool heptagons bro. We are building a football/lacrosse performance facility as well, and the $25MM from TGH is a donation, not covering the cost of the entire project. For reference: Auburn: $92MM UF: Estimated $85MM Maryland (with IPF): $149MM Cincinnati (with IPF): $134MM Bottom line is the south side construction of the football/lacrosse performance facility, which would not be part of a "standalone stadium" like these other schools you are comparing our builds to, more than likely cost a significant amount of money and proportion of the total construction cost. My guess is in the neighborhood of $75-$100MM of it will be the performance facility (which will include the locker rooms and medical training facilities as well).

Whatever "designer" threw this job together in Photoshop doesn't exactly inspire confidence in design capabilities. What kind of crap stadium is USF building anyways? One that accommodates fake people only?
