Hopefully, when he watches the tape, CAG will realize that the offense went a little too fast between plays at times, which IMO is where the Gilbert look comes from

This was especially evident on the 4th and 5 that they missed in the 3rd qtr - that play looked rushed and a bit disorganized

My two biggest takeaways - the WKU QB may be the best we’ll see this year. He’s a legit gamer. And the offensive line is our main problem. Until that’s fixed, we got issues.

While one game does not a season make, it is disappointing when the post-game performance review reads: "Meets expectations."

I went and took in the App State vs. Gardner-Webb game from the the AD's Suite at Kidd Brewer.  Fun times even in a loss.  I couldn't bring myself to watch the Bulls.  I would love to see them surprise me and turn it around quickly, but for the time being I have embraced another attitude.

Hmmm. Got any contacts at App State?  😁

Crazy thing is we had all offseason to discuss the fact we weren't winning this game. We lose and then people lose their ****.

WKU has a graduate senior QB that is 23 years old. We have a RS freshman that is 18 (I honestly thought GB wpuld get the nod). We have to give our QB time to mature and suck it up or we will constantly be in this cycle. Y'all need to support this kid and the team and give them a **** chance.

That Gilbert-ish offense averaged 38 points a game. Knock off a td a game because of the GOAT and I'd take my chances with 31 pts a game.

That was also probably one of the worst defenses that we will play all year...

Thanks for the pep talk, Coach!

might wanna check your sources.

They retained majority of their defense, with nine of their eleven starting players returning.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have been one of the best programs in the Conference USA. They finished the 2022 season in second place with a 9-5 (6-2)...

Expect crickets.

Biggest take away for me was the runs up the middle CONSECUTIVELY. I don't mind one, but two in a row to gain two yards hurts. Sets up a tough long 3rd down.

Bad part is by the time we are 3 and out the other defense isn't even tired in spite of our fast paced offense.

Worst part is with such a fast offense we end up giving the ball back after taking like 30 seconds off the game clock. I like the fast pace at times but you need to work the clock sometimes especially against that type of QB who won't make many mistakes.

When’s the last time you saw play action on one of those?
