Fowler Ave Collective, which supports USF athletes' NIL opportunities, recently announced two new hires to its staff.
  • Currently have 200 members who pay monthly dues, this is about 60,000 to 75,000 annually
  • Goal is to get 1000 members to get that recurring amount to 350,000 annually
  • LOT of non recurring payments. In the last 3 months they have raised close to a million bucks

I can't read it now but they absolutely need to do exactly this. Be transparent be vocal about their goals and needs, what's working whats not. I want to give more but it's a total black box and that makes me uncomfortable. It also fires me up to see the success and momentum. I'll read later and have more thoughts but good start.

3.5 million a year feels like a great number. Could roughly:

Give 100,000 each to the 10 best players in football/MBB.

Give 30,000 each to the next 50 athletes we want to prioritize the most

Give 12,500 each to the next 80 athletes we want to keep happy

They're targeting 3.5 in the bank and 350k annually. Makes sense, you don't want to liquidate every year and have nothing in the bank.

350k a year won't even take care of basketball.

That's where our NIL donation is going.

Since foreign players can't take NIL dollars, this means more available to concentrate on domestic players, no?  This seems to indicate more bang for the NIL buck.
