I remember complaints about Bowl Game destinations when we were selected for the Sun Bowl.  Trust me, we aren't happy unless we are complaining about something.

The sun bowl would be a miracle at this point. We suck until we prove otherwise.

I mean, in the fans' defense, we were #2 in the country that year - I think we were justified in expecting better than spending NYE in El Paso.  That being said I went to El Paso and had a great time, other than the result of the game.

I always wonder what will happen when we start winning. What will we have to talk about? I honestly can't remember what went on here 10-15 years ago.

LOL!  :roflmao:  So true.

Back when we won, we were a lot harder on uniform colors, it really drove a constant debate

I remember murmuring around whether the Spring Game should be at RJS or campus

It was "too hot" for Fan Appreciation Day

Oh!  What were the bowl alignments? They needed to be better (because we actually went)...

Best place to get Bulls gear (because there were places)

Campus infractions for riding motorbikes on sidewalks

Too hot and football in Florida go together like ice cold beer and football. Any weather that is not hot and humid for a football game in Florida is a plus.

Let’s see:

Games are too hot to go to.

Games are at same time as my kids games

Birmingham Bowl two years in a row is not good, so won’t go.

The AAC sucks, but yet we can’t win it

There are always excuses, our fan base has always been very fickle and has an overestimated view of who we are in football world, while being cheap on donations.

Only one I can't go along with is the second one ..... kids games should come first.

That was a beautiful location, but a terrible game for us. but to complain about that game was ridiculous. I always thought that was the beauty of bowl games was to travel to new places.

Sun Bowl was a blast.  Along with the Meineke in 2005, our first, are my favorites.  I haven't been to many others, but those times were exceptional!!

I've been at every bowl game except the International Bowl in Toronto.  The trips and experiences are usually memorable even if the game is something I want to forget (e.g., the Sun Bowl and the Meineke Bowl you mentioned).

And then there are those who donated, actively supported and attended even while always being well aware of the Bulls' place on the food chain.
