Plus one of the benefits of playing in the AAC is that we have destination travel games. Who cares who we are playing. We get to travel to New Orleans, San Antonio, Memphis, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Annapolis, etc. It has been fun to travel in the AAC.

This is true, the destinations are nice at least even if the GameDay atmosphere stinks. That's the icing on the crap sandwich I suppose.

That's true of home games too. So we're consistent.

Imagine going to the wonderful metropolitan cities of Ames, Waco, Manhattan (KS), Lawrence, Stillwater, Waco, Lubbock, and Morgantown!  (Does Fort Worth count as part of Dallas? It's in the "Metroplex")

Adding Provo, Cincinnati, Orlando, and Houston is actually a significant upgrade there.

Do we know when the Navy game is yet or is that in the general bucket of not knowing?

If we are judging our conference by the cities we get to visit then maybe we can join the European Athletic Conference .... imagine games in Paris, Rome, Berlin, and Dublin to name a few

I remember the airport in Paris being intense.  Dublin not so much.  But they have Tayto.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
