how do you know he wants to coach?

how do you know he can COACH

qf is not the immediate answer

True just because someone is good doesn't mean they can coach, and actually vice versa.

CJS doesn't allow cursing so Q isn't an option with this staff.

Is this for real?

Either way, ranting on social media isn't going to help him land a job anywhere.

My inquiry was more concern about CJS not allowing cursing than Q. I just find that hard to believe ....

Agreed. Tony Dungy (my all time favorite coach), let men be men; he lead by example. A head coach is meant to lead and inspire, not control. Dungy didn’t swear or scream, BUT, he would let you know when he was disappointed, and because he didn’t yell all of the time, when he did raise his voice, it was even more shocking because it just didn’t happen often. On the flip side, Dungy’s assistants were passionate and he didn’t stop them from being themselves and that goes for players too. The head coach needs to teach and guide these young men, while letting them be themselves (within reason). There has to be a balance. CJS shows no emotion, has been very poor in game planning and players are quitting during games. Players look confused and unconfident, all of this falls on the head coach.

I thought I read that when he got here so it has been a few years.

Edit: He really doesn't like the fact that liquor is served at donor events but someone must have straightened that out.

I don't see any quit.

The problem I see is that we are way to conservative on offense to start games. We don't open it up until the game is almost out of reach.

bubble screens, runs between the tackles etc lead to third and longs and 3 and outs. Our defense is not good enough to play so conservatively.

We need Scott to coach confidently and attack on offense. When taggart broke through is when he started trusting his offense. He had terrible defenses for the most part but he coached like he wanted to score on every play.

Scott needs to realize this and correct it. It's why we are out of games by halftime and it's why last year he would let teams back into the few games we led.Needs to cut loose. He has nothing to lose at this point.

It might go against his conservative nature but he has to make a correction if he wants to succeed.clearly his approach is not working.

Would you suggest he corrects this as if his ass were on the line?

Does he realize how much at-home drinking he may be responsible for?

yes. he has nothing to lose at this point.

he needs to admit his own bias in being too conservative.

people who are unwilling to change when things aren't working will never grow to become successful
