He would be an awesome hire. Keeps putting up winning seasons and would be one OT win away from being undefeated this year. And he was born in Gainesville - don’t know if he keeps close ties with the state of FL but I’m guessing it doesn’t hurt our chances if we pursued. It’s so frustrating to see how many great HCs there are out there in the G5 while we’re stuck with Skip Holtz 2.0 for possibly TWO more years. Unbelievable. Don't insult Skip comparing him to Scott his peak was much higher than beating Temple. His worse season was here was better than Scott's best. We fired him for going 3-9 but people here praising CJS for going 2-10? What direction is the culture change taking us? The article then wonders what does he know or not know? Well I did not see a follow up, so it must have been a nothingburger. For the second issue it says he was showing support for his father-in-law. Well, if you support your wife's father, you at least have some family loyalty. That has to be a good overall trait. He is making $5.7 million over a 3 year contract as a coordinator, which is more than what USF has paid head coaches.

He isn't coming here. He will be floated for every SEC and ACC job. Jeff Traylor won't leave UTSA for another AAC job...no matter what. He just signed a 10 year 28 million dollar contract last off season. He turned down Texas Tech to do so, so why on earth would he go to USF. He's also a Texas guy through and through. Coached high school ball and won state championships in Texas. Also had stops at Texas and SMU. The only place he's ever been outside of Texas in his 33 year coaching career was for 2 years at Arkansas. He will either stay at UTSA, go to Texas A&M or Texas, of possibly go to a SEC west school. That's it. Scott Frost is an interesting option. Yeah he failed at Neb, but he succeeded at UCF. I think he could do similarly at USF. Worth a look and you could probably get him fairly easily. He probably won't get another P5 job due to the Nebraska debacle.

However, if Michael Kelly did have the guts to fire him, I think hiring Scott Frost would be a very good choice to replace Scott. If Frost could resurrect UCF he should be able to do very well with our Footbulls (maybe).

They were 31-9 the three years prior to the 0fer that immediately preceded him, including a BCS bowl win. There was a foundation there and 2015 was just a blip ........ and will remind again, Frost hasn't done **** without MM. Frost should not be an option if we have to look.
