The problem with these twitter experts is that they think they know everything and they didn't listen to Bowlsby's criteria for getting looked at.  Academics was one of the first things he mentioned.

There is a real possibility that the top four left includes USF, Cincy, Uconn, and UCF.  The rest on the list don't add up.  They have always wanted to go east, bye BYU.  They have always wanted new markets, bye Houston.  They have always wanted decent academics, bye Memphis.  Of course academics were a factor, they said so from the beginning and nothing has been a real surprise yet.  The real candidates have been the real candidates since the expansion announcement.

USF will make the final 6.  Question now is does the Big 12 want in FL.  If so, USF is in.

I agree with this. Bottom line is if the Big 12 decision makers are looking towards the future. If they want real growth for the conference by adding Florida it only makes sense that both USF and UCF are in. If only one USF has the most going on all around.

You also have to consider that the voters are university presidents.  They are not going to be impressed with somebody (Memphis) trying to buy their way into the club.  

I still say that they probably won't even announce an expansion this year.
