MHver3 â€@MHver3 3 votes against adding Uconn, 6 votes against UL currently in ACC. Lobbying could reduce UL votes to 2 against. UM, FSU, BC against Uconn MHver3 â€@MHver3 @JSi07 yes. Possible unprecedented 20 team conference in the works. If this happens..whispers 2 other power conferences merging. MHver3 â€@MHver3 I'm getting a very solid "Big 10 not done yet" Florida state may be in the mix as well as Clemson. Both schools have received contact MHver3 â€@MHver3 Love it!! WVU contacted by ACC officials today! MHver3 â€@MHver3 Espn practically begging us to swipe UL and USF to prevent the demise of the ACC as legitimate FB conference. MD to Big is fine. GT, UVa too Edited November 20, 2012 by Gismo

How terrible would it be if all former aq schools were in the power 5 but USF? Just on pure numbers I think we find a home in either big 12 or acc, wherever fsu isn't. Miami isn't enough if a Florida presence for the acc, and the big 12 would be adding a market in Florida, which they clearly want in fsu. So I think we're tied to fsu in a backwards way, if that makes sense.

TherapyBull Posted November 20, 2012 Group: Member Topic Count: 38 Content Count: 197 Reputation: 5 Days Won: 0 Joined: 10/26/2011 Share Posted November 20, 2012 Not to throw salt on the gaping wound, but its no longer 2007. The victories against Auburn, West Virginia, Kansas, even the victory against Notre Dame seems like decades ago. What makes us think that USF is such a better option than UCF if the goal is to break into the Florida market? One could argue that we had our chance and did not do anything with it, give the other university a shot. We must face, that at this point we are equal, and UCF built a stadium that can be expanded. Would a better option be to pair up with them, offer ourselves as a packaged deal to the Big 12 in order to lock up the hole I4 corridor. What about considering taking a reduced revenue sharing rate? All options should be on the table.
