DW is making his case:

"I will only tell you the Big East has been a great league for us and I don't want to see schools leaving, but we've never been in a better position,'' Woolard said. "We have the eighth-largest school in America. We have great facilities in place, including a new Sun Dome and a (men's) basketball team coming off an NCAA appearance. People know where our football program has been and the potential it has.

"And we're in Florida with a great TV market.''

Sell it baby! Sell it!

Sorry Doug, your missing one huge part of the equation that does play a big part in perception of the program and the overall university in general. You don't have a stadium and no future plans for one.............

So, he should just give up and do nothing based on this? I don't think so.

FSU to the Big 12. June 15th. No wait July 15th. No, no August 15th

Was there a year specified?

The dream scenario would be admission into a power conference on the condition that some portion of the new revenues received would go to funding a new on campus stadium. I know I'm dreaming, but that would be a good day...

That matters just as much as recent on the field success does in all these movements .... ie very little, if at all.

Well if somehow Virginia goes to the B1G, VaTech will go to the SEC. It's the only thing that held them back in the last round.

I agree. I read an ACC fan dismissing USF, claiming the conference's bylaws require an on-campus stadium. But, what about Miami and recently admitted Pitt?

A bylaw can be changed pretty easily, probably at the same time the ACC admits the exception (a bigger decision). Don't know this for a fact but if such a bylaw even exists, it was probably changed when Miami or Pitt came into the conference.
