Houston is in. Which means that both UCF and UCF are likely out if they only go to 12. Our only shot is that they go to 14 and take USF & UCF, IMO. I just can't see them taking just one Florida school. But which one of them gets in if USF does?

Something along those lines

It's the most perfect way to crown a conf champion. Not when two teams play each other in November and then play each other again two weeks later in the CCG. Terrible stuff that the Big 12 is trying to figure out how to avoid and having all kinds of trouble. There is a reason that everyone else went to at least 12 teams. The only problem this poses is making it harder to pick off Mountain West teams. We likely will have to take NIU, Toledo, MTSU, Army, or Marshall. I definitely don't want to see UMass or Charlotte move up as has been suggested. They are such terrible teams

This is idiotic if Houston makes it. At least, by this logic, we have a chance of getting into the ACC someday.

How is it a scheduling "nightmare"? A rematch could happen no matter what unless you have two divisions of 9 or 10 teams each. It's still the purest form of getting a true conference champion. And just as an FYI, 3 of our last 4 games this year are against the West so obviously there wasn't much thought to the close rematch scenario when the AAC scheduled.

American will pick up probably either Marshall, NIU, Charlotte, UMass, or Southern Miss.
