Isn’t it fun that we always feel like every other program has an endless supply of starting QBs and we always feel like we have none?

Jim McMahon, at 62, could be starting for BYU and it probably won't matter.  As long as the QB can hand off they should be fine.

I checked the box score from the ASU game and Hall appears to have gone out after taking a hit on a QB run late in the 4th quarter. Their backup, Romney (a distant relative of Mitt), came in and threw one pass for a 3 yard TD. From his small sample size over parts of 3 seasons it appears that he is a solid passer, but not nearly the running threat that Hall is. My sense is that Romney is a more solid passer, but that Hall is the more versatile QB. He ran 16 times for 83 yards and a TD against us in 2019. Through 3 games this season he has rushed 20 times for 166 yards, averaging 8.3 ypc. If he is in fact out, it frees up an LB or a safety to be able to do a little bit more than spy the QB.
