Facilities weren't the issue.  The fact that we have SUCKED for 3 (or 4) straight seasons is the issue. In BOTH men's basketball and football

I agree our programs playing like dog crap for most of the past decade especially football is what really held us back.

IPF if we had 5 years ago and even and OCS now we still get skipped unless the football team was playing way better.

Number one priority has to be is start owning this stupid conference...and hope Scott was right hire.  So far he has been a dud.

If true about the OCS, it’s definitely late but it’s not too late.  USF has about 3-5 year window to get its **** together and it starts with improving the horrible product that has been the football progrum and MBB.  It also includes facility upgrade.  IPF is step one.  Then football center and OCS or a combined facility.

USF is at an inflection point.  Which way do they go?

Not strictly true.  When the subject of renovations came up, UCF tried to squeeze the city for a bigger slice of revenue for UCF games as well as UCF specific improvements and the city said no.  So UCF dreamed up a crazy financial scheme and nearly went bankrupt building their own cheapo stadium.

I should never believe what I read on the Bullspen.

I now see why the OCS announcement was made yesterday.

So I’ve been kind of incommunicado for the last day and a half. We announced we’re building an OCS??

During a groundbreaking ceremony for an indoor practice facility, USF chairman of the board Will Weatherford said it may take time, but he believes an on-campus stadium...

Did just see on another thread that he’s also an Iron Bull so maybe this is something that may get legs. That’s where it needs to start, where the money is. Don’t think it matters one way or another in any upcoming expansion but I love that picture ….

It is too late for this round but it could be helpful for the next round. The ont thing that will guarantee entry into the next round will be winning. Even if we build an ocs it will be a short term relief if we keep producing teams winning 4 or fewer games with an occasional year we make a bowl. We have to start getting to a point where we are getting to bowl games every year and win a few conference titles to ensure our spot in the next round of alignment
