This. This is what the OCS opponents don't seem to get.

Ask SMU how they feel about their OCS and the invite to the Big12 - or any other team not getting an invite.  Our lack of money and following is the biggest problem IMO.

I don't see the Big12 lasting too long tbh.  But UCF should do well for 4 to 10 years while it does last.  Hopefully by then we will be watchable again.  IPF is still the right move.

We just got hammered by a school without an OCS, or an OCA, for that matter. Bottom line, not enough people with deep enough pockets have cared enough about USF football up to this point ..... maybe this rattles the cage.

I don't believe we have a bunch of filthy rich people that have been sitting on the sidelines just waiting for this moment to step up and donate big bucks.

We had a decent number 15 years ago.  Where’d they go?

They got what they wanted, turned out they were wrong, they didn’t understand why it wasn’t easy to just get over the plateau, they got mad at the spoils of their plan and they left

It's not just that.  It's also stating that you are going to build it so they will come and provide incentives.  Start lining up corporations, private donations.  Allow me to pledge only for that specific thing.

I'm unsure if the number of Iron Bulls is higher now as compared to then. But I was talking about difference makers. Like build a stadium kind of wealth and thinking, oh my they really need it now.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
