Losing faith in CJS due to his emotional attachment to McCloud.

That is kinda worrisome.  "Emotional Attachment" I really hope that JMc isn't getting a longer look due to some CJS attachment(ray ray). If JMc is really our best QB out of the 5 we have..? It say's little about our 2 transfers or our 2 freshman. Jmc is having the best practices?? What are the other ones doing...sitting around smokin and jokin??

Find it very weird you bring in some transfers and they really didnt get I think a legit shot in games to show what they can do.  Especially Fortin who hasn't played in a few years.

Whatever we arent winning another game this season anyways.

He didn't make that statement when naming JM the starter. It was in response to a follow up question. What he's saying is basically it's Jordan's job to lose at this point ....... no more qb roulette.

He needed to name someone...he has no choice at this point...

My point was he didn't make that caveat when he made the announcement of the starting qb. Didn't hear the question specifically but sounded something like "So McCloud's your starting qb for the rest of the season regardless?"

There is nothing at all to substantiate that belief...

CJS probably feels some pressure to create some continuity (good luck with that) but I always think it silly when coach's name a starter that's "won the job" when said QB can "lose the job" at any moment. just name the starter for the week unless it's a multi year starter with clear separation and even then say nothing let the 2 deep chart speak for itself. It's the QBs job to do enough to keep his backup on the sideline or become the backup, always.

Correct that's how being a starting QB works. Definitely means something for CJS to give him the job publicly like that. I'm not surprised as the others on the roster are either too inexperienced or more erratic throwing the ball. The hope is the young guys develop as they do have higher ceilings imo. I've heard Fortin has not looked at all like what people here expected....

What worries me about that is CJS brought in Fortin as, what he thought, was the best choice of available QBs.

Someone needs to get the lion's share of snaps at practice and the bar has the to be set somewhere...even if its low...  Maybe Fortin can eventually raise the bar and get the job.  Who knows...
