It will probably be either mccloud or johnson. We haven’t seen fortin all year so it wouldn’t make much sense to start him but if he is healthy they need to get him in there to see what he can do

What is the deal with Fortin?  Is he hurt, covid tracing, or just buried in the depth chart?

If available give him a freaking shot.  Like you said, we need to know what we have.

My guess is that Cade is in CJS's dog house.  If it was covid he'd be on the field by now unless there were complications.  Hopefully his indiscretion was not too serious and we will see him on the field next Saturday.

Of course he could have a regular injury as well.

This doesn't suggest he is in CJS doghouse.

“Whenever Cade is allowed to come back, he will be given an opportunity to play,” Scott said Tuesday.

This is quite a mystery.

I kind of feel bad for McCloud. Put in this situation as a QB, when it seems he is not, and failing. I feel like that would take a toll on my mental health if I was in that position.

I want him to do well, I feel he is not a QB. I also feel like a portion of us on these boards are overly critical of a college aged kid.

The overall product of USF football stinks. A proper QB would help, but I still think it wouldn’t be the answer. Charlie left us in the toilet bowl, and it’s up to Jeff Scott and crew to get out of it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
