True. Todays negatively charged social atmosphere would create a media circus that would spin around a CJL back to USF news bit. Old news would be dredged up, dissected and beat to death. I'm sure the Admin wanted not part of that possibility. Nobody would want that for USF or CJL. Sadly, CJL has this baggage he must carry around. Society doesn't forgive/forget easily and it thrives on negativity.       To bad....He does deserve better.

I am hearing that a deal was done with CJL and the board of trustees did not approve the deal. Can someone make sure that a question is asked of the university tomorrow to confirm or deny this???

Brad, I'm disappointed you or one of the other mods deleted my Elf quote regarding the OP, given the holiday season we currently find ourselves in.

From what I've heard from the Lightning sources that work with USF, Leavitt contacted USF and Kelly told him he'd consider him.  However Jeff Scott was always the primary target for Kelly from the chatter I've heard.  I doubt Leavitt was ever Kelly's choice and it sounded like he was being included as a courtesy.

I get so many of those with my kids that a while back, I made a decision not to care about them anymore.  I am officially desensitized once and for all to feces.

My wife and I used to call it the Triple Crown when you get poop, pee, and puke on you all in one day.

For the record, I've not removed/hidden any posts during all this. Only transgressions I've made is the apparently sinful merging ....
