Willie Taggart for OC. Let’s see how badly he wants to be here

Not at all, not anywhere near, that badly.  Ego restraints and too much cash!

Give me all that ego over someone coming in and running a pro style, power offense. My opinion on a CJL hire is completely contingent on his staff

Why would one of the Clemson guys take a non P5 job when they will have P5 offers? When we were still in the Big East with a BCS bowl tie in, maybe, but not in the current environment.

Don't think they would... I'm just saying everyone here is hanging their hats on Jim or Willie. We'd all be surprised if it's someone else.

He has no experience.

Sure, he's only been an undefeated qb at Tulane and been a starting qb in the NFL...he has more experience than most offensive coordinators...

Tags will be a HC somewhere next year. Scott or Blackwell more likely as an OC on CJLs staff.

Leavitt didn't ever run a prostyle offense did he?  I think of Marquel and Matt and B.J.

Fair point...but we can only hire someone that has mutual interest and that can be more challenging if you think that top assistants in the power 5 will want a non P5 job.

Ok, so he is an experienced player. Doesn't have anything to do with being OC.

I dont like USF being in the habit of on the job training. I'd like to leave that for lower levels.
