You are correct, until midseason.

Depth was an issue for us back then. Much tougher level of competition across the board.

Because not all P5 jobs are created equal. They aren’t going to be hired away from Clemson to a premier program, see FSU opening this year.

The quickest way to a premier P5 job is 3-4 years at a AAC program. See CWT, Tom Herman, Scott Frost, and now Mike Norvell.

Could they get an offer to a Vandy, Boston College, Oregon State level program? Sure. But if your eyes are set on a premier job, going the G5 route to prove your worth as a CEO for a couple of years is the way to go.

Grothe said the Clemson guys were not interested and he has sat down with MK, so I think I trust him on it.

Was this a tweet I missed or he said it here?

Understood...remember that King was the qb coach when Flowers flourished in the gulf coast offense...he is a very smart man!

Don't get me wrong I like S. King and I was there wearing the burger king hats at the bucs games back in the day. I love that he has been with the program and I hope he stays with us.

If Leavitt is hired, that's the first benchmark I'd be looking for him to clear, besides winning.

It was a reply to a tweet, go to his twitter page and look at his tweets and replies...

Not sure I was interested in the Clemson OCs. Don’t think pro style would work anyway so I’m glad they aren’t interested

You are correct. Pro-style will never work here. We won't ever have the OL play required or the depth. Keep it spread, keep it fun!

Clemson OCs did not come off a production line... they aren't genetic twins.  It's not that easy.
