When we were still in the Big East with a BCS bowl tie in, maybe, but not in the current environment. Because not all P5 jobs are created equal. They aren’t going to be hired away from Clemson to a premier program, see FSU opening this year. The quickest way to a premier P5 job is 3-4 years at a AAC program. See CWT, Tom Herman, Scott Frost, and now Mike Norvell. Could they get an offer to a Vandy, Boston College, Oregon State level program? Sure. But if your eyes are set on a premier job, going the G5 route to prove your worth as a CEO for a couple of years is the way to go. Only the ones limited by their own potential that CANNOT get a job in the P5 - Hence, you politely say "No". No rental coaches....no apprentices! I think of Marquel and Matt and B.J. I'm quite certain I read on here once that Leavitt ran the "run around and make a play" offense.

Doesn't have anything to do with being OC. I dont like USF being in the habit of on the job training. I'd like to leave that for lower levels. Understood...remember that King was the qb coach when Flowers flourished in the gulf coast offense...he is a very smart man!

Since we were playing in the lower levels it was easier to block than it is in the AAC level

Grothe was one of the most exciting players I've ever watched, really only surpassed by Q at USF.
