I dont care what NEB and Dave Glaser say. The majority of the fanbase would be in favor of bringing back CJL.

Absolutely it can work but it’s equally likely not to work.

Well, isn’t that the case with anything? If you have the can’t miss answer, please share!

You want passion from your fanbase? You want to grow up the fanbase again? Bring back the coach whose passion cannot be matched. Michael Kelly and CJL is a winning combo.

Go back and read everything I’ve written. I didn’t say I was personally against it, I just said it’s not going to happen.

What if he blows his gasket again?

He definitely was in a high pressure situation that none of us will EVER experience in a job.  Certainly not like any other university employee.  He needed to be managed, but Woolard was scared of his own shadow and hid under a desk.  He wanted him gone but had no balls.   McMurphy did it for him.  Leavitt's "gasket" didn't blow as much as McMurphy's after being fired from the Tribune.  He then solicited his boys in the locker room to go after Leavitt.  It's pretty clear.

Last, we will not have fanbases from the BCS days...it’s gone never to return. But we can win conference championships and that will give some new members of the fan base.

So close it down, or keep it on life support?

I love that people are running around acting like every young oc that gets hired is a home run

I find it hilarious too, but it gets mentioned more than impeachment...

Well that’s a decision. Can we maintain a G5 program that wins 9 to 10 games a year, wins a few conference championships, gets to play in an occasional NYD bowl game? I would say yes. But our peek will be 35/40k a game. It is what it is...

When has that happened?

I'm sorry, you're bet is with a newcomer to the HC role we can accomplish.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
