We won the toss...put the O or D on the field first?

If I am Strong, I put the O on the field first and let Kerwin try to get us ahead and make them play from behind. Three successful drives in a row could make them change their game plan.

However, Chuck is going to put the D on the field first because he wants to see just how good Macon is. I'm pretty sure we are going to load the box and put the corners on an Island. I am ok with the personnel we have on D, but I think our real game plan is to light up the scoreboard and just contain Taylor.

Glad you said "plan".

Definitely whip out the D and load the box. No brainer.

Completely agree. Love this strategy. Let’s see what the new engine can do.

We are not going to stop him...just have to contain him. Make big stops on 3rd down to get the D off the field.

Was talking about the offense part.  But you're right about the D too.

Strong also tipped off what may be the reason Davis is starting at FS. He said "We have to put some people on the field who can run him down."  However, that was coach speak. What he wanted to say is.... If Davis can get a clean shot on him coming up the middle...we are going to put his head on a swivel and toes on egg cartons.

100%. He also mentioned need safeties to come up and help in run support. This actually makes a lot of sense

Corners shouldn't have a lick of help this week. All islanders all the time.
